A client needed to test site layouts for a processing plant concept. We experimented with different equipment layouts and equipment assemblies, and we created 3D renderings and animations so the client could make an informed decision. CAD modeling is a cost-effective way to solve layout challenges before breaking ground and hiring contractors.
Starting with our client’s initial plans, we first modeled all the equipment necessary for the processing plant. From these separate parts, we created a basic layout of the facility. The client reviewed our first renderings with their design and construction group, gave us suggested changes, and the process repeated itself.
We worked closely with our client and designed more than five layout and equipment assembly options. Working in CAD, we could easil swap in or out design elements in reaction to client feedback. In this way, we were able to present them with their optimal design solution in under two weeks.
